I'm Recruited!

If you’re looking for an exciting new place for some dessert, look no further than Mr. Puff’s Dessert Bar! This place had a fun atmosphere and the staff were amazing. They were kind and polite, and maintained a happy and friendly manner during the entirety of my visit. I took this opportunity to test out their “adult interpretation” of TimBits. The first flavor I tried was Apple Cinnamon. The flavor was light, and the donut as a whole was chewy and delicious. The Choco Loco donut was just as fantastic! It tastes best after you let it cool a bit, as you can taste the oil if you have them after they are freshly fried. However, it is made out of real chocolate--not just syrups--which contributed to a great chocolate taste. With the donuts, I had their Fredo Cappuccino. It was dark and strong tasting and--as my friend says--robust! This was my first time visiting the dessert bar and they have officially recruited another regular! Overall Rating: 4.8 / 5 Review Wri

Yorkdale Mall: Birthday Extravaganza !

It was a birthday extravaganza! I mean, not really… but it felt like it. And what better place to celebrate than Yu Seafood Yorkdale?  The process of finding our seats was worthy of an upscale fine dining experience. After checking in at the lobby where the sushi bar was located, we waited a few minutes for our booth to be cleaned and were then personally escorted to the elevator to find our hostess waiting for us on the upper floor where she guided us to our table. The design of the restaurant went perfectly with the eastern fine dining concept, however the music slightly disturbed the ambience. Due to the location being in Yorkdale Mall, it made perfect sense for contemporary music to be played to attract customers, but a more classical or instrumental piece of music would have fit the character of the restaurant a bit better. The serving process was just as interesting; we ordered on a tablet provided by the restaurant with the menu already opened for us to glance at. As

Bazille Yorkdale : We were supposed to do homework

In choosing to have a social outing together instead of working on the pile of projects we had for our respective classes--as we should have done--,we decided to go shopping and enjoy lunch at Nordstrom’s Bazille . Was it worth it? I believe it was. We experienced little wait in getting a table and menus were handed out soon after. The entire table set up was quick and, to our relief, the restaurant was not crowded. There were a few people enjoying lunch, but it was fairly quiet when we arrived. Business started picking up as we got deeper into the lunch hour. The ambience of the restaurant was casual and contemporary with a professional flair. The plating complemented these themes with clean and sleek colors, lines, and designs. Every choice made from utensils to the booth cushions fit the restaurant aesthetics--there was nothing questionable or out of place. There was a moment where Claire-Élisabeth Jacques and I grew concerned, when our waitress
